Her passion for Pilates grows with every class, proving that even after a decade of practice, Pilates remains consistently engaging and challenging. Beyond Pilates, McKenna enjoys cooking a wide variety of food and creating new recipes to savor with her family and friends. She takes satisfaction in helping others and empowering them to succeed. Her ultimate goal is not only aiding individuals to feel their best, but also giving them an enhanced sense of well-being. For McKenna, every session is an opportunity to inspire positive change and leave a lasting impact on her clients' lives.
JENNA DE MASE
Pilates InstructoR
In 2003, Jenna began her Pilates journey under the training of Master Pilates Instructor Kim Lee. A pioneer of the Pilates movement in Los Angeles in the early 1970s, Lee created his own methodology known as Pilates Zen. From age 19 to 21, Jenna dedicated herself to her vigorous training with Lee, who would later become her mentor. Seeking a deeper understanding of the method, Jenna completed her certification with STOTT Pilates. She spent 10 years in the Pacific Palisades and West Hollywood, honing her craft. She radiates an enthusiasm and passion that is palpable. Stylistically, she is led by her intuition. She possesses an ability to attune to any body, knowing exactly what is needed for balance and fluidity. Her curiosities later lead her to pursue a career in the wine business for 10 years, followed by a stint in advertising as a copywriter. Presently, Jenna has returned to Pilates because she finds this work fulfilling, loving to facilitate and bear witness to practitioners becoming empowered by their own efforts and commitments. She believes Pilates is like teaching your body how to speak a new language. With time and persistence, the benefits transcend other forms of exercise.
